Don't Sell!!

Whatever you do, don't sell or swap if you're down on your investment! Hold until you either break even or above because the market is still so young, the price WILL rise again. It could take a day or it could take a year, this is why you only invest what you can afford to lose, that doesn't just mean what you can afford to lose altogether, it also means you can afford to lose it temporarily, or at least the ability to sell and cash out. If you have done this, then hold and keep buying, look at a technique called "dollar cost averaging", this might be more suited to you. Come up with a strategy that best suits you, whether that's day trading, swing trading, accumulation, holding or dollar cost averaging and stick to your strategy; this is important in this space so don't push it aside as something you'll get to later, if you don't have a strategy you'll find yourself flipping in and out of all sorts of projects and never making any real substantial gains. Whatever you decide is the strategy that suits your personality, always remember the #1 rule for investing in absolutely anything: Keep your emotions out of it. This means when you see something trending and you feel like you need to get in before you miss the cheap prices that will never be seen again, take a deep breath and analyse the situation. This behaviour is referred to as FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) and is usually what makes people buy at peak prices, they're sure the price will continue on an upward trend and they'll miss out on what they think is a low price. On the flip side of the coin is what's called Panic Selling, this is when prices start to fall quickly so people sell before they're initial investment isn't worth what they had put in, usually resulting in a loss. These are the 2 emotions even the most seasoned traders still struggle with but are able to keep in check so they can continue to make smart trades. Be Fearful when others are Greedy and be Greedy when others are Fearful.
