Some of you may have heard of Wax and some may not have, whichever is the case, Wax are the self proclaimed kings of NFT's and their claim, while a little forward, may not be without merit. In this Blog post we take a dive into the Wax ecosystem to give you an insight on it's future, however uncertain that may be.
Wax started as most small projects do, as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network, but as gas fees began to rise along with network congestion it was clear to the Wax team that the ETH network wasn't suited to their big goals....so they made their own blockchain. The Wax blockchain was purpose built for the sole purpose of NFT's, but not just the products themselves, it was built for brands to have a home for their NFT's which includes hosting their dapps, games, exchanges and even marketplaces, all with little to no fees at all, now we can see why they pushed away from the Ethereum system. With an impressive line up of brands already on their network, the likes of which include Atari, Mattel, AMC, Funko, Hasbro and even the brand of Captain Kirk himself, the great William Shatner, just to name a few, it's easy to see how enticing Wax's blockchain is to the big players, let alone those still to come.
Wax is already host to 22 P2E blockchain games, the most popular of which being Alien Worlds where you can mine the token TLM virtually for free, though none of which are anything to run home and shout about where it concerns graphics or gameplay, but they do showcase how well the blockchain works with crypto games. We can see this blockchain rising the ranks very quickly with it's current partnerships and contacts and have heard rumours of some pretty impressive games in the works or at least in discussion.
